Coprolite - Dinosaur Dung Box, 65 to 500 Million Years Old - Actual Authentic Fossil
Coprolite is fossilized Dinosaur Dung. The name is derived from the Greek language meaning dung stone. Coprolite provides a "direct link" to the diets of dinosaurs and gives paleontologists evidence of extinct organisms. By studying a rock hard pile of poop, scientists learn about the metabolism, physiology, behavior and environment of the dinosaur that produced it One question about coprolite may never be answered, which Dinosaur did it come from? Coprolites range in size from 1/4 to over 24 inches and can be 65 - 500 million years old. They have been discovered in states covered by the Cretaceous Seaway: Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Montana. Genuine Fossil of Approx 1.25" L, but as these are actual fossils of dinosaur poop/dung and, size, dimension and color will vary.
