Shema Prayer Sterling Silver Necklace - Inspirational Jewelry
Considered the most important prayer in Judaism, it is both an affirmation of faith and a declaration of belief in one G-d. The entire Shema (or sh'ma) consists of the daily prayers that commences with Shema Yisrael and comprises Deuteronomy 6:4-9, 11:13-21, and Numbers 15:37-41. This unusual necklace has been finely engraved with lines of the V'ahavta [Deuteronomy 6:5-9], the first portion of the prayer. The two letters ayin E and dalet D are enlarged in the first sentence, together forming the word 'eid', meaning 'witness', a testament to the sovereignty of G-d.
Inscribed Shema Prayer in Hebrew and a portion in English: Hear Israel * the Lord is our G-d * the Lord is one. Sterling Silver, Mobius diameter: 1", Chain length: 18"
