Product Description
This reserved and quizzical cat looking directly at the viewer has been adapted from an Edward Gorey illustration for Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot. Gorey created all of the drawings for the 1982 edition of this book of poems on cats, on which the musical, Cats, was based. In the complete drawing, the cat is resting on an elaborate tuffet on a page at the end of the chapter entitled "The Naming of Cats".
