This welcoming cat, who we've named 'Cat About Town' because of the ease of his manner, has been adapted from Edward Gorey's title page illustration for AMPHIGOREY - Fifteen Books by Edward Gorey: a compilation of books published between 1953 and 1965. In the complete drawing, the cat, in a striped T-shirt, is shown balancing flags on his head that spell out the title of the book. The absurdity of this cat standing upright with arms widespread will amuse the owner and the viewer everytime it is worn.
