Faberge Bear on a Pearl Pendant - Museum Shop Collection
Fabergé Bear Charm 19th Century Inspired by the bear on pearl charm on a Fabergé bracelet in the collections of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. As jeweler to the Czars of Russia, the house of Fabergé in St. Petersburg (ca. 1842-1920) specialized in creating exquisite objects of extraordinary craftsmanship in precious metals and gems for their elite clientele. These sometimes whimsical creations, such as this bear, were made to delight and amaze. Our recreation is made in gold finished pewter with a genuine freshwater pearl.
