Product Description

The Skinnet Cross design was taken from an 8th century Pictish cross-slab that was found in the far northeast of Scotland. This Cross-slab is now in the Thurso Museum. These large stone slabs always have carving on both sides and are unique to Scotland. The knotwork on the face of the cross symbolizes the eternal theme; the Alpha and Omega – beginning and end in the eternal circle. This is the very essence of the Celtic never-ending knotwork designs. At the bottom, there is a very old Pictish symbol called the rams-horn and is a variation of the spiral.

8" x 4.5" : Cast Stone, Celtic Art Collection, Made in the U.S.A.
