Mother & Child Necklace - Auguste Renoir (1841-1919)
Auguste Renoir, 1841-1919 was perhaps the best loved of the Impressionists. He first painted at the famous porcelain factory in Limoges where he was born. There he acquired the fresh palette that would distinguish his work in later years. Though renowned for his color more than his use of line, Renoir was an accomplished draughtsman, as in this adaptation from a drawing of a mother and child.
