Product Description

This pendant encompasses the original of the ring of the same name. Originally from Claddagh, the oldest Irish fishing village, the Claddagh ring is the heart being held by a pair of hands with a crown above. A symbol of love and friendship. The hands symbolize friendship, the crown, loyalty, and the heart. love. Today, the ring is worn extensively in Ireland, in one of two ways: On the right hand with the heart pointed outwards displaying that the wearer is "free" or with the heart turned inwards denoting that the wearer is "married" (where it is typically then worn on the left hand).
